Dear Diary, it has been over a month since my last confession!
Seriously, where is the time disappearing to this year? I feel like the past few months have been on fast forward, but in a good chaotic and twirly way. So much has happened, so many wonderous events and one or two secret squirrel ones too that I can't mention yet.

A community to be thankful for
The weekly chats that started back in lockdown (how long ago was that?) have become one of the lovely events of each week. We have together, yup I mean together as in all of you guys, together we have built a fabulous community that meets each week to chat about witchy stuff and all sorts of other random things. It is a really important aspect for me, I believe witchcraft knowledge is meant to be shared, we learn from each other and we support each other. Streamed live to mine and the KW fb and YT channels every Friday morning 9am UK.
Hold onto your hats, Sulis is in town
My latest book, Sulis will be published this month and she is very eager to get out there into the big ole wide world. Sulis is a power, a force of nature and when she gets her teeth into something she steers it along at a great speed. In fact I have strong suspicions she is the reason everything this year has moved at 157 miles per hour, most of which I thank her for. If you missed our free two hour Sulis workshop and ritual you can watch the replay on YouTube. The book can be pre-ordered from the usual places (Amazon, Barnes & Noble etc and your local book/occult store may hopefully be able to get hold of it too). Chaos!
Talking about the online store, we had to put most of it on hold for a bit as we have had a bit of building work done here at Kitchen Witch HQ. Because of the stock for the store and the need for an area to do our crafting and creating we had to think of other options. Hubby came up with the idea, just the idea, of looking at getting the loft (attic) made into a usable room space. He phoned our lovely builders to ask them for ideas, so they came and did a site visit and declared they had a 'cunning plan'. Thankfully the plan came in just under our budget so we asked them to put us in their schedule. Two days after our initial 'idea' they phoned to say they had shifted some jobs around and they could start in four days time. There then followed four days of total chaos as we moved, shifted, unboxed, sent to the tip and the charity shops - 29 years worth of junk that was stored in the loft. Phew! It has taken them about three weeks or so but they have completely transformed the loft into a lovely room which will be taken over with hubby's electronic drum kit and I suspect will become a 'cave of rock n roll'. Crystal Wicca
Myself, Ness and Heather took a trip to the wonderful Crystal Wicca store in Hayes last weekend to run a triple workshop - divination, ritual and the Wheel of the Year. We spent the day with some delightfully lovely people. It was an absolute pleasure to work with so many folk who were keen and as it turns out, all totally clued into working with lithomancy!

Bones & Tarot at Raw Eden
Next month (19th Oct) Heather and myself will be at the opening of the new location for the Raw Eden store in Wickham, Hampshire. We will be giving readings as part of the festivities. Lots going on throughout the day so if you are in the area please do come along and say hello. The new shop is bigger and has a separate room for holistic treatments and readings. We will of course be running more workshops there in the future too (Candle Magic will be featured as one of them in November).
Mooncon encounters the world of fairy
If you are interested at all in the world of fairy, Moon Books is running another Mooncon in October. Join fairy experts Morgan Daimler, Daniela Simina and Halo Quin for talks on various fairy world aspects and then a panel hosted by myself - all free and streamed live to the Moon Books Publishing YouTube channel and facebook page. Saturday 12th October 2024, starts 6pm UK.
An escape to the moors
With everything being so chaotic and twirly the Kitchen Witch team has decided to take a few days off soon. We will be heading to the beautiful, mysterious and most importantly, peaceful moors. I cannot tell you how excited we all are to be heading out to completely immerse ourselves in nature. Apart from the threat, ahem, sorry I mean promise, of a breakfast at MacDonalds en route, it should be a fabulous few days. I am sure you will hear all about it on our return!
Big things...
There are BIG things happening behind the scenes at the moment and I cannot wait to tell you all about it, but for the moment...I am enjoying the beginnings of autumn. Just taking those few peaceful moments first thing in the morning and last thing at night when everything is still to breathe in the fresh, crisp air that you get this time of year. The Season of the Witch is nearly upon us.
