Anyway…
Blogs
You may have noticed myself and the Kitchen Witch team are making less blog posts than we used to, here and on the KW blog. In part this is because we have moved over to Patreon and/or our own version of it. A lot is happening over there!

Kitchen Witch go wild in Fordgingbridge
Last weekend we were supposed to be at a festival but it was cancelled. As we had already booked accommodation we decided to go away for the weekend anyway. We met at a wildlife park where we wandered looking at owls, otters and deer. Then onto Sandy Balls Holiday Park. The caravan was very comfortable, the restaurant food was delicious and the shop/deli very well stocked. The site is set in beautiful countryside too, which was an extra bonus. Apart from Heather ‘the mountain goat’ trying to kill me (again) with lots of long walks. The evening was spent delving into our divination tools and involved conversations about animal skin casting cloths and owl puke, along with a huge amount of plotting planning and scheming for the next few months and beyond.
On the Saturday we headed to Rockbourne Roman Villa which was fascinating. Whilst discussing how to make sense of the floor plan, one of the volunteers came over and asked if we needed any help. Two and a half hours later he had given us a full guided tour, answered all our questions, sat with us in the sunshine and his wife had shown Ness and Heather how to weave. What an absolutely delightful and informative few hours! Onwards to Knowlton, a site I am quite familiar with (I was made High Priestess there) but it was new to Ness and Heather. The sun was shining and the site didn’t disappoint, it has such a fascinating energy. The day was topped off with a very delicious curry at a local restaurant in Fordingbridge.
Sunday after checking out, we headed to Figsbury Ring, another beautiful day and another wonderful site to explore. Connecting with energies of the past, the chalk beneath our feet (very Tiffany for those of the Discworld) and a host of wild flowers.
Such a wonderful weekend spent with two of the most amazing (and patient) people on the planet.

Festivals, events and a year out
One of the subjects we have been discussing at great length is festivals, events and conferences. This year we are booked in for a LOT of them. In reality too many to actually be able to fit in our ‘other’ lives, work (yep we all have real jobs too), family and all of the Kitchen Witch stuff as well. There has been much discussion, and the decision was made that 2026 will be probably be a ‘year out’ from working at events. We do love catching up with lovely folk, seeing all the amazing stalls and listening to talks but, there is a lot involved. Most of the events we are invited to involve a 3 or 4 hour drive (traffic permitting) to get there and obviously the same return journey. Cost of accommodation (although some lovely events do offer us a roof and a bed for which we are very grateful), food and drink for the weekend has to be covered too. Then preparation for any talks or workshops all takes time and planning as well and sometimes cost of materials.
We would love to run more Kitchen Witch online workshops and courses and these just don’t fit into the diary at the moment, time for putting them together and for running them is non existent. Hence the decision that next year we are looking to focus on those instead. More details as and when we get things sorted.
Hoards
After several limited edition hoards to coincide with my book launches last year we created a couple of animal related hoards this month – they sold out within 24 hours, thank you so much! And by the use of the term ‘we’ I mean the very talented Ness and Heather. More hoards are in the planning and preparation stages so keep an eye on the Kitchen Witch online shop.

I am very honoured to be hosting MoonCon25 next month, the subject is Welsh Goddesses and we have some incredible guest speakers. It is online and totally free –
