Apricot
(Prunus armeniaca)
The apricot is an orange coloured fruit from a small tree and looks very similar to a peach…but smaller. The skin is soft and downy like that of a peach…or a baby’s bottom…
You can use all parts in magical work – the fruit flesh, stone (kernel), flowers and leaves.
The garden of paradise tended by Hesperides contained ‘golden apples’ which some believe were not apples at all but apricots or peaches that promised eternal youth.
Excellent fruit to use in love recipes whether you eat the fruit or just use the juice in spell work, lotions or potions.
Eating the fruit is said to bring about a sweet disposition.
The dried leaves and flowers can be used in medicine pouches and bottles and the apricot stone can be carried to bring love to you.
The apricot brings with it a very strong feminine energy but still a gentle spiritual and floaty ahhhhh kind of energy, definitely one for romance and passion and even a little bit of an aphrodisiac quality…
